Skoda Slavia facelift launches in India tomorrow

Skoda’s refreshed Slavia sedan will debut in India on the upcoming day, marking its first major refresh since entering the market. Production has already begun at the manufacturer’s Chakan facility near Pune, where pre-orders are being accepted for a deposit of Rs. 15,000.
The updated model introduces several exterior refinements, such as a newly styled front grille, restyled bumpers, updated LED headlights, and revised rear lighting featuring sequential turn signals. Fresh alloy wheel designs complement these changes, with the top-tier Monte Carlo trim receiving enhanced styling treatments.
Under the hood, the 1.0-litre TSI petrol unit now offers an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission as an option. The turbocharged three-cylinder engine maintains its output of 115 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque, paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre TSI engine continues to deliver 150 horsepower and 250 Nm, retaining its seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
Inside, the facelifted Slavia incorporates several premium upgrades. Standard features now include a 360-degree camera system, Park Pilot with front sensors, and a rear seat massage function. Higher trims gain a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the infotainment system introduces an AI-powered assistant running on Google Cloud.
Safety remains a priority, with all variants maintaining six standard airbags, electronic stability control, and other advanced driver-assistance systems from the previous model. The sedan retains its five-star Global NCAP crash-test rating, reinforcing its position as a segment leader.
Available configurations include Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo. The facelift introduces two new exterior colors, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, while retaining the original dimensions: 4,541 mm long, 1,752 mm wide, 1,507 mm tall, and with a 2,651 mm wheelbase. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, production occurs at Skoda’s domestic manufacturing plant.
Since its launch, the Slavia has achieved nearly 80,000 sales in India. Tomorrow’s official pricing will determine its competitive stance against rivals like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Volkswagen Virtus. Owners will benefit from a four-year warranty, four years of roadside assistance, and four maintenance-free services under Skoda Super Care. Current models range from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom), with expectations of modest price adjustments for the updated version.
