Honda unveils ZR-V in India at Rs 48 lakh

Honda has launched the ZR-V in India at ₹47.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV arrives as a Completely Built Unit from Japan and serves as the brand’s new flagship model in the country, expanding its hybrid portfolio.

Deliveries started immediately, with the first two allocation batches already booked. The vehicle aims at buyers looking for a feature-rich midsize SUV with strong hybrid technology.

Hybrid powertrain delivers 184 PS, 22.8 km/l efficiency

The SUV uses a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine combined with a dual-motor e:HEV hybrid system and an e-CVT transmission. Output reaches 184 PS and 315 Nm of torque, while fuel efficiency stands at 22.8 km/l. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds.

The system automatically shifts between EV, hybrid, and engine drive modes depending on road conditions. Paddle shifters for regenerative braking and idle stop-start technology help improve efficiency.

Cabin blends tech and comfort with Honda SENSING safety suite

The exterior features a modern SUV design with full-LED lighting and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the all-black interior includes leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a driver-focused dashboard.

A 9-inch touchscreen handles infotainment, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It pairs with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. A 12-speaker Bose audio system and wireless charging come standard. The 60:40 split-folding rear seats expand luggage capacity to 1,313 litres when folded.

Comfort features include an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory, a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, and a hands-free powered tailgate with a kick sensor. An electronic parking brake and hill descent control are also included.

Safety highlights include the Honda SENSING suite, which provides adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, and road departure mitigation. The vehicle also comes with eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and Vehicle Stability Assist.

Four colour options, standard three-year warranty

Buyers can choose from four exterior colours: Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Crystal Black Pearl.

Honda provides a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and three years of complimentary roadside assistance. Extended warranty packages are available, covering the hybrid system and lithium-ion battery.
