Revised front grilles and re-shaped headlights are added to the Trax and Trailblazer.

The automaker is refreshing its 2027 Chevy Trax and Trailblazer crossover SUVs, adding sharper exterior styling, newer infotainment hardware, and a larger suite of driver-assist systems that come as standard. These updates are intended to keep the models competitive in a segment where shoppers look for the newest gadgets without a steep price tag.

Exterior changes are modest but noticeable. Revised front grilles and re-shaped headlights give the Trax and Trailblazer a cleaner front face. New rear-lamp units are linked by a black trim piece, widening the visual stance of both vehicles. The brand also rolls out fresh paint options, such as a deep Lagoon blue and a lively Sunrise Orange hue.

Inside, the cabin receives the most dramatic upgrades. Both SUVs now come equipped with an 11-inch digital instrument cluster paired with an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard. The larger screens provide clearer graphics and faster response times, allowing drivers to reach climate controls, navigation and media functions with fewer taps. The upgraded interior layout also lends a more premium feel to the entry-level offerings.

Google integration arrives as a built-in feature, featuring Gemini voice assistance** that can handle queries, set destinations and control compatible apps. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also supported, eliminating the need for cables. A new interior shade called Storm Sky Gray adds a subtle splash of color to the dashboard and door panels.

Standard Safety Features

Reworked electrical wiring and updated software architecture let the company broaden its safety portfolio. Standard equipment now includes reverse automatic braking, rear cross-traffic braking, a side bicyclist alert, front-parking assistance, intersection automatic emergency braking, and additional rear-seat safety reminders that warn occupants if a seat belt is unbuckled.

To streamline the buying experience, the lineup has been trimmed to three trims per model. The 2027 Trax will be sold in LT, RS and ACTIV trims, while the Trailblazer will be offered in LT, RS and the newly added Z71 configuration.

Z71 Trim and Engine Updates

The Z71 badge equips the Trailblazer with a more rugged character. Standard all-wheel drive, an off-road-tuned suspension, sport-terrain tires and a front steel skid plate prepare the vehicle for light-off-road duties. Powertrain revisions also see the previous turbocharged 1.2-liter engine replaced by a standard 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder, delivering a modest bump in torque while preserving fuel efficiency.

The Trax continues to focus on value-oriented buyers, retaining a front-wheel-drive layout that keeps acquisition costs low. These clear distinctions are meant to help shoppers decide which Chevrolet model aligns best with their daily needs, without having to manage an overly complex array of trim choices.

For reference, the outgoing 2026 Trax begins at roughly $23,495, and the 2026 Trailblazer starts near $25,395, both figures including destination fees.
