Lotus unveils new Eletre and Emeya models in KL

Lotus has brought its updated 2027-model Eletre and Emeya electric vehicles to Kuala Lumpur, showcasing them at Intermark Mall until August 9. The MY27 600-series variants now include more standard features while maintaining their performance credentials.

Pricing and new standard equipment

The Emeya 600 starts at RM489,000, while the Eletre 600 begins at RM499,000. Both models now come with an integrated active rear spoiler and Nappa leather seat upholstery as standard. Configurable ambient lighting further refines the cabin experience.

Wheel sizes have increased—22-inch diamond-turned units for the Eletre and 21-inch for the Emeya—paired with Pirelli P Zero tires and six-piston brake calipers in black or red. Other standard features include active air suspension with continuous damping control, brake-applied torque vectoring, LED matrix headlamps, a 15-speaker KEF Premium sound system, a 29-inch head-up display, and four-zone climate control.

Performance and range

The Eletre 600 retains its dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, producing 612 PS (603 hp) and 710 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 258 km/h. A 112-kWh battery pack delivers up to 580 km of WLTP-rated range—enough for a trip from Johor Bahru to Ipoh with a stop in Kuala Lumpur.

The Emeya 600, despite its smaller 102-kWh battery, matches the Eletre’s power output and extends range by 30 km. Its sleeker sedan profile improves aerodynamics, allowing a 0-100 km/h time of 4.15 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. Fast charging at up to 420 kW replenishes the battery from 10% to 80% in 15 minutes.

For those seeking higher performance, the Emeya 900 (formerly the Emeya R) recently set a record lap time of 2:20.317 at Sepang International Circuit, making it the fastest production EV on the track.

Promotions and perks

Buyers of the MY27 Eletre or Emeya receive an invitation to the Lotus Performance Experience at Sepang, where they can test the cars in a controlled environment. A two-year interest rate subsidy worth up to RM20,000 is also included, along with access to an extensive trade-in network.

The showcase at Intermark Mall offers a chance to see the updates firsthand. Lotus has positioned the MY27 models as a balance of luxury and performance, though the real test will be whether the added standard equipment justifies the price in a market where electric vehicle adoption is still growing. The interest subsidy could help, but long-term demand will depend on how well these cars hold their value.

Those interested can register online to visit the event before it ends on August 9.
