What if you could graduate from a university where market-oriented programs equals knowledge and skills demanded by employers, and where hands-on learning happens inside and outside the classroom? Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of existing and emerging technologies in the field of automotive engineering. Year 1 is common across many of our engineering BSc degrees and provides the underpinning skills and knowledge you will need to study specialist automotive engineering topics later in the course. After finishing the course, you can choose to do an extra year to obtain a Master of Engineering in Automotive Systems (also in English). Brunel’s Women in Engineering and Computing mentoring scheme provides our female students with invaluable help and support from their industry mentors. The building also has state-of-the-art conference facilities that host a variety of major automotive events.
A chassis engineer at heart, Chairman Seita Kanai challenges his engineers to think differently and embrace the Skyactiv technology that has made Mazda a benchmark. Many of our programmes are accredited by professional bodies such as the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE). Automobile Engineering is part of Automobile or mechanical engineering education courses and technology degree programs of various universities.
STEMLab allows us to offer new ways to learn and collaborate, with a ‘drop-in’ engineering workshop, teaching laboratories, workshops, computer-aided design and rapid prototyping facilities, a design studio and informal learning spaces. The course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), under licence from the UK regulator, the Engineering Council, and satisfies the academic requirements for incorporated engineer (IEng) status. If you are applying for an undergraduate degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND), you can apply through the UK’s Universities and Colleges Admissions Service ( UCAS ). If you gain incorporated engineer (IEng) status, you’ll tend to specialise in the day-to-day management of engineering operations. Sandy and Sons referred me to Automotive Engineering and I am so very glad they did.
A student team at the university are preparing and race engineering an MCR race car in the 2 litre Duratec class of the championship. Strong emphasis is placed upon achieving a good balance between practical and theoretical engineering skills, making best use of the excellent facilities available. Most occupations in this zone require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate’s degree. Few colleges and universities offer a bachelor’s degree program in automotive engineering. To enable students to relate the theory of electrical and electronics to automotive applications and solve problems in motor vehicle systems.
This module examines the organisational aspects of product development from corporate aims and product strategy through design, manufacturing engineering and into production. Learn the fundamental principles of engineering before specialising in automotive engineering.
