Dear recent and prospective students, parents, colleagues and staff, welcome to Automotive Engineering website. We work to impart both a depth and breadth of knowledge through intensive automotive tracks, a technical minor, leadership and business training, and a six-month internship. Internships and graduate programs are a good way to get into the industry from university. For BEng programmes, your final degree class is based on Years 2 and 3. MEng degrees are assessed on Years 2, 3 and 4. We encourage you to spend a full year in the automotive industry between your second and final years. Automotive engineers work in all aspects of a vehicle’s design and performance.
In Engineering – Pass overall with 60 credits, 45 at Level 3 and 15 at Level 2, including with a minimum of 12 credits at Merit or Distinction with 9 credits of these credits from Mathematics units and 3 credits in Science units. Apply ordinary differential equations and numerical methods to problems in an engineering context. Apply their knowledge and understanding for developing practical skills for solving problems, conducting investigations, and designing engineering devices and processes. Tech Mahindra is a one stop shop for embedded engineering and integration services for OEMs and suppliers with an array of specialized engineering services. Starting from the 2010/11 academic year the course is held entirely in English, taking the name of MSc degree in Automotive Engineering.
Located in a large and open campus, Polytech Orléans is an engineering faculty and school that provides an extensive range of courses at degree and postgraduate level in the areas of engineering and technology. The aim of the Automotive Engineering programme at the Chalmers University of Technology is to provide students with a system perspective of automotive vehicles and depth within three focus areas: powertrain, vehicle dynamics and safety. The program’s goal is to provide qualification for most demanding positions in the automotive sector. This module includes principles and commercial practices for the management of engineering projects and related wider business operations. All of the academic teaching staff are members of recognized engineering institutions and have long term industrial experience providing not only the theoretical knowledge but also the real time experiences. Hot Technology — a technology requirement frequently included in employer job postings.
Powertrain and vehicle dynamics are two essential disciplines in terms of understanding and designing the automotive vehicle system and its behaviour. You will need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace or electrical engineering, and further study might also be required. Brunel has an excellent reputation in the field of mechanical engineering and the automotive subject discipline is one of our most active areas. Michael Carter came to Birmingham City University through Clearing, electing to study BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering due to his interest in the industry. A whole variety of vehicle production areas are encompassed: automotive engineers tend to specialise in either designing, development or manufacturing. With green transport technologies being a focus of future transport developments, opportunities for eco-minded automotive engineers are predicted to increase. Sunderland’s suite of engineering degrees shares a common structure, as shown below.
An MEng offers you a research-focused fourth year, where you work towards your integrated Masters degree. Our annual Engineering and Computing Careers Fairs provide further opportunities to explore your career options with some of the UKs leading employers. Rapid developments in technology and increasing demand on certain areas enforced the necessity of team working more than ever giving rise to specialized engineers. Demonstrate the skills needed to manage and contribute to team-based engineering activities and projects in a multi-cultural environment. OpportUNIty: Student Jobs on Campus ensures that our students are given a first opportunity to fill many part-time temporary positions within the University. Most automotive engineers work on a full-time basis, although many work more than 40 hours a week on occasion.
